HELLO
I am Abhisek, presently working at the Nucleic Acids Programming Laboratory, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Our laboratory aims at developing aptamers and nucleic acid nanostructures as tools for diagnostic and/or therapeutics for viral infections and cancer.
I am interested in investigating the underlying immuno-metabolic interplay and associated host-pathogen interactions in infections caused by opportunistic pathogens, such as Pseudomonas and Chlamydia. Additionally, I am also interested in assessing the potential of various commensal microbiota in modulating non-gastrointestinal diseases.
